A Great Week!

That Morgan Face!

Last week was just awesome! I had a wonderful 1st Mother's Day. Adam cooked me breakfast, gave me roses & a gift certificate to get a massage, and then we went to church. It really made me feel to honored to be a mom. What an amazing blessing!

Monday was Adam's birthday. It was also my first day back to work. It was very hard taking Jaxson to daycare for the first time. Adam went with me and I cried when the nursery worker took him from me. She knew that it was going to be hard for me to just hand him over. Adam really helped. It got much easier as the week went on. I went everyday for lunch to see him. It gave me a chance to meet the nursery workers. It probably helps them too! They are so sweet and great with little ones. I feel very comfortable leaving him there. I know he's being cared for.

This weekend Adam's Mom & Stepdad came up to visit. We had a nice weekend. It was much needed! She hasn't been able to see Jaxson since he was born. She just ate him up! She's going to be a wonderful Grandma. We are so lucky!

It's time to go back to work!

Well, it's about that time. I decided to get a job. I am going to work back at Pilgrim's Pride selling chicken again! This time it's in Nacogdoches instead of Lufkin which is nice. It's only 5 miles from my house. It's a really good job and my boss is so laid back and nice. He told me that he understands my situation as a new mom and didn't have any problems with me staying home when needed. That makes me feel good to know. I'm really struggling with putting Jaxson in daycare. I hate that I have to do that. It's so hard since I have been with him everyday of his life. It's killing me! I know that he will do fine and that this is a good time b/c of the time of year. The good thing is that it's 2 blocks from where I work so if I get the Jaxson blues, I can see him whenever I want. They say not to do that too much b/c it can make it harder on him when he gets attached to mommy. I like to think he already is! I will try not to, probably just the first 2 weeks until I get better with it. I can't imagine what it's like when our children spend the night at someone else's house for the first time, start driving, go on a date, and go to college! I know I'm getting way ahead of myself. I love taking care of that little guy. Now I know what all other mother's go through. My cousin Katy & sister-in-law told me how hard it was when they had to do it. They were right! So, please pray for us!
