Fire Proof

Okay, I'm not trying to be weird or anything but I just watched the movie Fire Proof and feel like a new woman! It is sooooo good. I highly recommend watching it with your spouse. It isn't your common chick flick. It is a really good, inspirational movie about marriage, life, and your faith in God. It was so nice to watch a movie based on Christian Values for once! Maybe it's my extreme hormones right now but this movie really moved me. I watched it by myself and can't wait to watch it with Adam. I have no doubt that it won't move him the way it moved me (minus the pregnant hormones!). I'll let you know how he responds to the movie!

37 Week Appointment followed by a false alarm!

Today I had my 37 week appointment. I am now 3 cm. dialated! Still no contractions! The doctor said that he thinks that I will have this baby by the end of the week. I am not going to hold my breath! As long as I'm not having contractions, I can keep dialating and not be in labor! I am sooooo ready. Sleeping isn't working out so good these days!

After the doctor, I came home and walked my dogs. I then went to eat lunch with my friend Jenny & then went to Staples. I felt a little funny in Staples so I went to the bathroom and thought my water broke. I headed straight back to the doctor's office and he checked me out. It was a false alarm. Those exams are not fun! So, we eagerly sit and wait for Jaxson to get here! Let's hope the doctor is right and that it is by this weekend!

36 Week Check Up

Today I went to the Doctor again. Everything is looking good but I don't necessarily think that Jaxson is going to come as early as I thought. I am now dialated to 2.5 cm. It amazes me that doctors can tell how dialated you are even by a half! I guess they check more than enough "who who's" in one day to know! He said that I am still thinning and that everything was progressing good. He also still said that he could come tonight, or next week, or in 1 month when I'm due! At least I know that he will be okay if he comes now. The doctor said he is in the safe zone! So, please keep your fingers crossed for us that he comes sooner than later! We are sooooo ready!

Jaxson's Room

We finally finished Jaxson's room! Adam did most of the work and he did such a good job! I almost want to submit a picture in a contest (I guess I'm already a gloating mom!). He's going to be our little Cowboy whether he wants to or not!

35 Week Check Up

I went to the Doctor today and had some very shocking news. He told me that I have dialated to 2 cm! Reality has definitly set in for Adam & I. This past week I have been feeling a little different. I guess my body is getting ready. The doctor told me to go ahead and pack my bag. He said that it could happen tonight, or it could happen in 4 weeks. He did say that being this early would make him premature but that he would be okay. I'm starting to think now that he's not going to be a 10 pounder. He might be tiny if he's early. Hopefully, little Jaxson can cook a few more weeks but if not, I know that he will be in good hands!

Velek Family Baby Shower

This past weekend Adam's family threw us a baby shower in Houston. It was awesome! We got lots of really neat stuff. It was "Cowboy" themed (just like Jaxson's room!). After the shower, we went to Babies R Us and got the rest of the items on our registry that we needed. It was not cheap! I feel better about him coming now since I have everything. Now I need to put things away & organize. Then the room will be ready and all I need is a baby!

We also did Christmas with Adam's father & Milly, and Aaron & Courtney. Needless to say it was a very nice weekend!
